    • Sporadic E Propagation
    • 6 meters is like HF and VHF
      • Heavily ionized patches of the E Layer
      • Several hundred miles to several thousand miles
      • Refraction off the Ionized layer
      • It is sporadic
      • I know a guy using WSPR to track sporadic E
    • Tropospheric Ducting
      • Ocean of air
      • The atmosphere is kind of acts like a fluid
      • Weather can cause refraction of radio waves
      • Look up temperature inversions
      • They can create a "duct"
      • hundreds of miles to thousands of miles
      • Richards Story Time
    • Trans-equatorial propagation
      • Stations equidistant on opposite sides of the equator
      • Works better for lower latitudes
    • Meteor Scatter
      • Best during meteor showers
        • Persiads
        • Lionids
      • Meteors leave a dense trail of ionization as the burn up in the atmosphere
    • Go out and read up on this stuff
  • Preach the good news of Amateur radio
